Calvin Harris plans house party extravaganza

Calvin Harris is attempting to set a new world record for the most house parties happening simultaneously from Bournemouth to Dumfries.

Harris will take part in the festivities on August 18, embarking on a party crawl that will end with an acoustic set at one lucky fan's house.

Speaking exclusively to NME.COM, he said: "I haven't been to a good old-fashioned house party in years, so this whole idea is basically a mechanism for me to do that.

"Obviously I'll be playing a song or two, but my main motivation behind this is to eat all the lucky winner's crisps and fall asleep on their sofa. I'm thoroughly looking forward to it."

The fan who created the "most inspired and creative" party will get a home performance from Harris and get ?1,500 in prize monkey."
Phil Spector trial: Day 21

Los Angeles County sheriff's criminalist Steve Renteria testified today (June 12) that Lana Clarkson's DNA -- not Phil Spector's -- was found on the gun that fired into her mouth and killed her.

This testimony may help the defence make a case that Spector did not force the gun into Clarkson's mouth and kill her, as prosecutors allege, but that the actress pulled the trigger herself.

Renteria also said that the producer's DNA was not recovered from underneath Clarkson's fingernails, which could signify that she did not struggle with Spector before she was shot.

During Renteria's cross-examination, he also disclosed that a small amount of Spector's DNA was found on Clarkson's left breast. It is unclear at this time the significance of this finding, but it may play a role in future arguments and the outcome of the case.

Spector is accused of murdering Clarkson on February 3, 2003 at his Los Angeles mansion. The defence contends her death was suicide.
